Biography
Yoram Eliyahu was born in a small town known as Kirat-Shmona, in a mountainous region
of the northern part of Israel. Yoram was raised in a hard-working family of modest
income which included four siblings and his parents, where he learned the values
of honest work.

Helping Rebuild Hometown Synagogue
A small synagogue in Yoram Eliyahu's hometown, Kirat-Shmona, was damaged by missile
fire during Israel's second war with Lebanon. The building's structure had been
severely damaged.

Knowing from his personal experience how essential the synagogue was to the life
of the community, he felt that the effects of such an event went deeper than physical
damage, and he knew that a new Torah could help to boost morale and restore the
spirit of his hometown.
